Learn how to cook the best air fryer pork chops that stay incredibly juicy inside while developing a satisfyingly crispy exterior, all in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (about 1 inch thick) boneless or bone-in pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops completely dry using paper towels. This step is key for achieving a crispy exterior.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, oregano, and pepper to create your seasoning blend.
  3. Brush both sides of each pork chop lightly with the oil.
  4. Generously coat all sides of the pork chops with the seasoning blend, pressing it gently so it adheres.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the seasoned pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes.
  8. Flip the pork chops carefully. Continue to air fry for another 4 to 7 minutes, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  9. Remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving. This resting period locks in the juices.

Notes

  • For bone-in chops, you might need 1-2 minutes longer cook time. Always check the internal temperature for accuracy.
  • If you want an extra crispy crust, you can lightly spray the tops of the chops with cooking spray just before the final flip.
  • This simple seasoning blend works well for both boneless pork chops air fryer and bone-in cuts.
