Ingredients
Scale
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
Place the diced sweet potatoes in a large bowl.
Drizzle the olive oil over the cubes and toss to coat evenly.
In a small bowl, mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the oiled sweet potatoes and toss again until all pieces are coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned sweet potato cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously every 5 minutes, until the potatoes are golden brown and tender when pierced with a fork.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately as a side dish or add to salads or hashes.
Notes
For extra crispiness, toss the cubes with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch along with the oil and spices before cooking.
If your cubes stick to the basket, lightly spray the basket with cooking spray before adding the potatoes.
Adjust cooking time based on the size of your cubes; smaller cubes cook faster.
