Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 large rectangles. Pinch the seams together to form one large rectangle.
  3. Spread the apple butter evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the apple butter.
  5. Carefully roll up the dough lengthwise to form a log.
  6. Cut the log into 4 equal pieces. Place the rolls cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until you reach a smooth, drizzly consistency for the glaze.
  9. Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool slightly before drizzling with the glaze.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • If you don’t have apple butter, you can use applesauce, but the flavor will be less intense.
  • Adjust the amount of milk in the glaze to achieve your desired thickness.
