Create a stunning, decadent adult dessert with this no-bake trifle featuring creamy layers of chocolate cheesecake, rich Irish cream whipped cream, and crunchy cookie crumbles. It is simple to assemble and perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream liqueur
  • 1 package (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (10 ounces) chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
  • 1 cup chocolate fudge sauce, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cookie layer: Place the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor and pulse until you have fine crumbs. Set aside about 1/2 cup of the crumbs for the top layer.
  2. Make the cheesecake filling: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Make the Baileys whipped cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the Baileys Irish Cream liqueur until just combined.
  4. Fold the Baileys cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated and creamy. This is your cheesecake layer.
  5. Prepare the pudding layer: In a medium bowl, whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with the cold milk until the mixture thickens, about 2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the trifle: In a large glass trifle bowl (or individual serving cups), start with a layer of crushed cookies.
  7. Top the cookies with half of the chocolate pudding mixture.
  8. Next, gently spread half of the Baileys cheesecake mixture over the pudding layer.
  9. Repeat the layers: Add another layer of crushed cookies, the remaining chocolate pudding, and the remaining Baileys cheesecake mixture.
  10. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  11. Before serving, drizzle the top generously with chocolate fudge sauce and sprinkle with the reserved crushed cookies.

Notes

  • You can substitute the chocolate sandwich cookies with chocolate cake cubes for a softer texture.
  • For an extra boozy kick, you can soak the cookie or cake layers lightly with a splash of extra Baileys before assembling.
  • This is a great make ahead dessert; assemble it the day before serving for the best flavor melding.
  • If you do not have a trifle bowl, assemble this dessert in clear glasses for individual party favorite trifles.
