A simple, cheesy, and spicy dip made with shredded chicken, cream cheese, and hot sauce, perfect for serving at gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie works well)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce (or similar)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or similar oven-safe skillet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ranch or blue cheese dressing, and hot sauce. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fold in the shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, and cheddar cheese until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese is melted and bubbly on top.
  6. If desired, sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  7. Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

  • For a thicker dip, reduce the sour cream or dressing slightly.
  • You can assemble the dip up to 24 hours ahead of time; cover and refrigerate, then add 5-10 minutes to the baking time.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or sturdy crackers.
