Make soft, fluffy cookies quickly using only cake mix, Cool Whip, and powdered sugar. This recipe is simple and requires minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) cake mix (any flavor)
  • 1 cup frozen whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the entire box of dry cake mix with the thawed whipped topping. Mix until just combined into a soft dough. Do not overmix.
  3. Pour the powdered sugar into a shallow dish.
  4. Scoop the dough into rounded tablespoons. Roll each dough ball completely in the powdered sugar until fully coated.
  5. Place the coated dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. The cookies will look soft.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can use any flavor of cake mix for different cookie results.
  • For a crinkle effect, gently press down on the dough balls slightly before baking.
  • If the dough seems too sticky, chill it for 15 minutes before rolling.
