6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
Instructions

In a separate bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and salt.
Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender and bubbly.
Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
You can add a handful of chopped pecans or walnuts to the crumble topping for added crunch.
