Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped black olives
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced salami, chopped
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced ham, chopped
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced pepperoni, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until the dressing is smooth and fully combined.
  2. Fold in the chopped red onion, black olives, and green bell pepper into the cream cheese mixture. Stir gently to distribute the vegetables evenly.
  3. Add the shredded provolone cheese, chopped salami, chopped ham, and chopped pepperoni to the bowl. Mix everything together until the deli meats and cheese are incorporated into the creamy base.
  4. Cover the bowl and chill the hoagie dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Chilling allows the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve this scoopable dip cold with crackers, crostini, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For a slightly different texture, you can warm this dip slightly in the oven or microwave, though it is traditionally served cold.
  • If you want to make this a true ‘Hoagie Salad Dip,’ add a handful of shredded iceberg lettuce just before serving.
  • Use high-quality deli meats for the best flavor in this appetizer for game day.
