Ingredients
Scale
1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon olive oil
Instructions
Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the salmon cubes to the hot skillet in a single layer. Sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side until lightly browned. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn.
Stir in the honey and soy sauce. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly into a glaze.
Return the salmon bites to the skillet. Toss gently to coat all pieces evenly with the honey butter garlic sauce. Cook for 1 minute more until heated through.
Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
If you prefer an air fryer method, toss the seasoned salmon cubes with 1 teaspoon of oil and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 6 to 8 minutes. Prepare the glaze separately and toss the cooked salmon bites in the sauce before serving.
Use fresh salmon for the best texture and flavor.
For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze mixture.
