- 8 hot dogs
- 8 slices of refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 16 mustard seeds or small edible candy eyes
- Preheat your oven according to crescent roll package directions.
- Carefully unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
- Cut each triangle lengthwise into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.
- Wrap a few strips of dough around each hot dog, leaving a small gap for the ‘face’.
- Place the mummy hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for the time recommended on the crescent roll package, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Once slightly cooled, use mustard seeds or candy eyes to create the mummy’s eyes.
Notes
- You can use ketchup or other condiments for the eyes if you don’t have mustard seeds or candy eyes.
- For a crispier mummy, bake for a few minutes longer.
- These are best served warm.
