Prepare this simple salmon salad using canned or cooked salmon. It works well as a sandwich filling or served over fresh greens.

- 1 (14.75 ounce) can salmon, drained and flaked
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh dill
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch of salt
- Place the drained and flaked salmon in a medium bowl.
- Add the mayonnaise, celery, lemon juice, dill, Dijon mustard, pepper, and salt to the bowl.
- Mix all ingredients together until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve immediately on bread, crackers, or over lettuce.
Notes
- For a lower-fat version, substitute half the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
- If using cooked salmon, flake it into bite-sized pieces before mixing.
- You can prepare this salad up to 2 days ahead and store it covered in the refrigerator.
