- 1 package instant ramen noodles
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon gochujang (optional, for extra spice)
- 1 cup hot water
- Toppings: chopped green onions, a soft-boiled egg, cooked chicken or tofu, corn, seaweed snacks
- Prepare the ramen noodles according to package directions, but use only half the amount of water.
- While the noodles cook, mix the chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and gochujang (if using) in a serving bowl.
- Drain the cooked noodles, reserving about 1/4 cup of the cooking water.
- Add the drained noodles to the serving bowl with the sauce mixture.
- Pour in the reserved noodle water and stir well to combine everything.
- Add your favorite toppings and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili garlic sauce or gochujang.
- Feel free to experiment with different toppings based on what you have on hand.
- For a richer flavor, use chicken broth instead of water.
