Ingredients
Scale
12 oz short pasta (like rotini or elbow macaroni)
2 cans (5 oz each) tuna in water, drained
1 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup sweet pickle relish
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried dill
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and rinse immediately with cold water to stop cooking. Set aside to cool completely.
In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, chopped celery, and chopped red onion.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and dried dill. Season the dressing with salt and pepper.
Pour the dressing mixture over the tuna and vegetable mixture. Add the sweet pickle relish.
Gently fold all ingredients together until everything is evenly coated.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
For a lower-fat version, substitute all the mayonnaise with additional Greek yogurt.
You can add 1/2 cup of frozen peas; add them directly to the pasta when rinsing with cold water.
This salad keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, making it excellent for meal prep.
