Make these simple, savory sausage balls using only three ingredients: sausage, Bisquick mix, and cheddar cheese. They are perfect for parties, breakfast, or game day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage (raw)
  • 1 cup Bisquick Original Pancake & Baking Mix
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the raw sausage, Bisquick mix, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until they are fully incorporated. Do not overmix.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each ball.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the pan before serving.

Notes

  • For a freezer-friendly option, prepare the balls, place them on a baking sheet, and freeze until solid. Transfer the frozen balls to a freezer bag. Bake directly from frozen, adding 5 to 10 minutes to the baking time.
  • You can substitute the sharp cheddar with Monterey Jack or a Colby-Jack blend for a different flavor.
  • If you prefer a slightly less rich flavor, reduce the cheese to 3/4 cup.
