- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Spread this mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a moister meatloaf, you can add a bit more milk or use a mixture of ground beef and pork.
- You can also add finely chopped bell peppers or carrots to the meat mixture for extra flavor and nutrients.
