Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Spread this mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a moister meatloaf, you can add a bit more milk or use a mixture of ground beef and pork.
  • You can also add finely chopped bell peppers or carrots to the meat mixture for extra flavor and nutrients.
